El Gobierno de Colombia y el Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo BID, han organizado la Consulta Regional sobre eficacia de la Ayuda para el Desarrollo. El evento tendrá lugar en Santa Marta – Colombia, los días 5 y 6 de junio de 2008.
La consulta regional tiene como finalidad preparar la participación de América Latina y el Caribe en el marco del III Foro de Alto Nivel sobre Eficacia de la Ayuda, que se llevará a cabo en Accra, Ghana, en septiembre próximo, y que dará lugar a la Agenda de Acción de Accra, donde se tiene previsto identificar los principales avances y desafíos en la implementación de los compromisos de la Declaración de Paris.
Los objetivos específicos de la consulta son: (a) hacer un balance en la región en relación con la implementación de la Declaración de Paris e identificar sus alcances y limitaciones, (b) enriquecer el contenido de la Agenda de Acción de Accra y (c) ofrecer insumos a las nueve mesas redondas que se llevaran a cabo en el III Foro de Alto Nivel, en relación con temas centrales de la Declaración de París.
The government of Colombia and the Inter-American Development Bank are organizing the Regional Consultation on Official Development Aid efficiency. The event will take place in Santa Marta, Colombia on the 5th and 6th of June, 2008.
The purpose of the Regional Consultation is to prepare the participation of Latin America and the Caribbean in the framework of the III High Level Forum on Aid Efficiency, which will be held in Accra, Ghana, on September. This Forum will result in the Accra Action Plan, which will identify the primary advances and challenges in the implementation of the compromises of the Paris Declaration.
The specific objectives of the consultation are: (a) perform an overview of the region in relation with the implementation of the Paris Declaration and identify its reaches and limits, (b) enrich the content of the Accra Action Plan and (c) offer inputs, in relation to the central themes of the Paris Declaration, to the nine round tables of the III High Level Forum.
